The North Light Products Jewelry Shooting Kit
has been designed to make jewelry photography simple for those using small hand held digital cameras. This system was designed for jewelry store owners and designers that need photographic images for emails, web page design, cataloging of inventory and appraisals. 
The following images were shot with the Olympus C2500L digital camera.
The North Light Products Jewelry Shooting Kit includes:
- One 28" by 28" white shooting table – Five inches tall, with a white glass top and open base.
- Three fan cooled daylight color balanced spotlights (10 degree spot, 17 degree spot and 36 degree spot) with articulating adjustment arms.
- Power supply with variable brightness control.
- Three mounting clamps.
- One, white, eight inch diameter dome diffuser
The shooting table may be placed on a table or desktop.
The arms are attached to the table by the mounting clamps. The clamps can be slid around the table so that the articulating arms can be placed in any position. This allows you to position the lights at any angle.
The dome diffuser provides a simple method for lighting jewelry. The dome is placed on the table and the jewelry is positioned inside. The three lights can be aimed at the dome from different angles to provide the best light for each jewelry piece. The jewelry is photographed through a hole in the dome. This produces a soft, even reflection on metal and shows detail in gems.
Larger and smaller domes are available as accessories.
The spotlights are daylight color balanced and provide excellent color rendition. Accurate color is especially important if you are cataloging inventory or writing appraisals.
The shooting table has a white glass top and open bottom so that a light source can be placed under the glass. This will produce a lighted area under your product.
A small digital camera is all that you need. We prefer the Olympus, thru-the-lens viewing, cameras because you are looking directly through the lens and it is easier to view the jewelry at close range.
